The name of "Pezzara" refers to the skeins that sicilian women used to create by different fabric strips, thus avoiding to waste them. The fabric obtained from these skeins after the workmanship by the loom was used to cover planks of old beds and for legums and cereals drying up. Now this ancient fabric is used by La Tela di Penelope to create wonderful and colored unique products such as pillows sham, tapestries, curtains and carpets with geometrical drawings.
