UNI.CO è un consorzio di artigiani, architetti e designers accomunati dall’obiettivo di promuovere l’artigianato d’arte e il prodotto fatto a mano; vuole sostenere il talento individuale di ciascuno tramite una rete, un tessuto connettivo e collettivo di idee, di strumenti e di intenti.
L’idea è quella di creare valore promuovendo la condivisione di idee, di ricerca stilistica, di eco design, di conoscenze dei materiali; mantenere vivi gli antichi mestieri e la creatività siciliana, sostenendo la produzione e lo sviluppo economico locale.

Insieme ai gioielli di Massimo Izzo, saranno esposti nella mostra "Il mito dei colori della sposa" i corredi La Tela di Penelope, come il copriletto in coccio e gli altri complementi per la tavola.
La mostra si propone di esporre simboli dai significati ormai dimenticati, attraverso un percorso di sincretismo culturale nel mondo del lusso. Vi aspettiamo al vernissage di giovedì 21 giugno alle ore 19:00 a Milano, in Corso Monforte 13.

On Sunday 30th October 2011 La Tela di Penelope will take part to La Festa della Ceramica taking place by th ceramics company Caleca based in Patti, Sicily. The feast will begin at 10 pm with the presentation of the Christmas ceramics collection together with La Tela di Penelope's coloured tablerunners in "pezzara". A guided tour of Caleca's laboratory and tasting of wine and local food will come after. Fleur en Fleur d'autunno le vie del vino Dal 11/10/2011 - Al 11/10/2011
Coming up October 11th - La Tela di Penelope presents with the other stores of via San Maurilio and Via Santa Marta in Milan the first edition of Fleur en Fleur d'autunno, le vie del vino.
At the event will be presented the new handbags collection Monday -Sunday made by precious fabrics La Tela di Penelope and from the idea of the designer Rosario Motta.
Wine tasting hold by the Sicilian wine company Planeta and appetizers prepared by the cook teacher Francesca d’Orazio will enrich the event, while inside the store, the new collection of hand-painted ceramics Caleca, will be showed combined together with La Tela di Penelope’s coloured tablerunners in “pezzara” to inspire the atmosphere of an elegant well-furnished home.

Slow - design per lo sviluppo Dal 02/09/2011 - Al 04/09/2011
The Design Show Slow takes place in the charming medieval town of San Marco d’Alunzio from 2 to 4 September 2011.
The event is promoted by the town of San Marco d’Alunzio together with La Tela di Penelope and arranged by ICOD an association of international designers and architects. Sicilian and Italian designers will show their works in permanent installations and exhibitions in two historical houses of the town. An interesting event will be the performance of the Japanese artist Sayoko Onishi and the jewelry and accessories show.
La Tela di Penelope will be presenting a new collection of handbags from the idea of Rosario Motta. All the evenings will end with musical concerts.

On 23rd May at 5 pm at La Tela di Penelope store in Milan the event Emozioni sul filo della memoria, a unique experience to discover the ancient art of the Sicilian weaving and see how the products and fabrics are made.
An exclusive experience to discover the softness of the fabrics, their perfumes and Penelope’s story as Homer describes in the Odyssey.

Fleur en Fleur Dal 12/05/2011 - Al 12/05/2011
Confirmed as one of the most beautiful events in the city center of Milan, it has achieved the tenth edition. Fleur en Fleur will take place in the ancient area of via Nerino, San Maurilio and Santa Marta.
Five master musicians from the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala will play at the corner of the streets while stores and art galleries will be opened till night.
